Rubén Piñal Soberón has joined the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) as Senior Manager within its Banking Supervision Data Team.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Mr Piñal Soberón said he joined the Authority earlier this month and is looking forward to applying his experience to Malta’s financial supervisory environment while further developing the team.
During his first weeks at the MFSA, he says that he highlighted the Authority’s approach to giving junior professionals early exposure and accountability, alongside managerial and technical specialisation opportunities for more experienced professionals.
Prior to moving to Malta, Mr Piñal Soberón worked with Banco de España, where he said he gained more than five years of exposure to supervisory reporting projects and data-related matters.
He also credited both Banco de España and BNP Paribas with helping shape his professional experience before taking up his new role at the MFSA.
