ICT and system integrator company PTL Ltd has announced a new reseller partnership agreement with KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform.

Commenting about the news, PTL Ltd Managing Director Pierre Attard said: “As an ICT company which strives to be at the forefront of technology developments, we are cognisant that cybersecurity is a major factor that cannot be overlooked.”

“KnowBe4 has been our platform of choice for online training in cybersecurity for several years and we have been consistently impressed with its proficiency, comprehensive knowledge, and support. The beneficial relationship evolved to a point whereby we decided to partner with KnowBe4 with the aim of sharing industry-leading expertise to the benefit of Maltese businesses who are interested in boosting their cybersecurity,” Mr Attard added.

Tony Jennings, Executive Vice President of International and Global Channel Sales at KnowBe4 remarked that this is “a very exciting partnership for KnowBe4, and we look forward to working with PTL Ltd to deliver our security awareness training and simulated phishing platform to even more organisations across the world”.

“This new partnership provides us with endless new opportunities to help organisations better manage the ongoing problem of social engineering. This is only the beginning of a relationship for both organisations,” he explained.

KnowBe4 helps make employees more aware and teaches them how to respond to cybersecurity threats such as phishing and social engineering that frequently affect organisations. Earlier this year, it found that social engineering and phishing are responsible for 70 to 90 per cent of all malicious data breaches.

KnowBe4 impacts organisations’ human firewall with awareness training that includes baseline testing, user training, and automated simulated phishing attacks for businesses of all sizes to build a more resilient and secure organisation.

PTL Ltd offers holistic IT consulting services and tools which enable clients to “take smarter business decisions in an expedient manner”. Such services include IT infrastructure, software development, business applications, digital transformation, and cloud solutions. Over the years, it has fostered strong business partnerships with some of the world’s major names in ICT, including Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, Lenovo, Trend Micro, and Oracle among others.

KnowBe4’s security awareness training and simulated phishing platform is used by more than 52,000 organisations around the world. Founded by IT and data security specialist Stu Sjouwerman, it helps organisations address the human element of security by raising awareness about ransomware, CEO fraud, and other social engineering tactics through a “new-school approach to awareness training on security”. KnowBe4 Chief Hacking Officer and internationally recognised cybersecurity specialist Kevin Mitnick helped design its training based on his “well-documented social engineering tactics”. Various organisations rely on KnowBe4 to “mobilise their end users as the last line of defence”.
