Veronique Dalli is the Founder and Managing Partner of Dalli Advocates, a mid-sized boutique law firm she established in 2016. Since its inception, she has built a dedicated team of litigation professionals who assist both corporate and individual clients – locally and internationally – across a broad spectrum of legal areas, including criminal, civil, contractual, and corporate law.
She qualified as a lawyer in 2005 with a Doctorate of Laws from the University of Malta and later earned a Postgraduate degree in EU Law from King’s College London. She graduated with Distinction and was awarded the Prize for Best Overall Mark.
Since her admission to the Maltese Bar in 2006, Dr Dalli has successfully represented clients before all tiers of the Maltese Courts, as well as the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Her experience also includes serving as a legal advisor to various regulatory authorities and public bodies.
Notably, she acted as a consultant to a New York-based firm in a landmark anti-discrimination case before the US District Court, Southern District of Florida. Her legal opinion on the application of both Maltese and EU Law was upheld by the court, despite efforts to have it expunged from the record.
Dr Dalli’s work and thought leadership in jurisdictional and regulatory issues surrounding emerging technologies have gained international recognition. She was featured in Forbes among three lawyers leading the way in tackling jurisdictional and legal standards in the digital currency ecosystem.
In addition to her legal practice, Dr Dalli contributes to academia as an examiner and dissertation tutor at the Faculty of Laws, University of Malta, helping to shape the next generation of legal professionals.
