Sarah Zammit Cutajar, CEO of P. Cutajar, has successfully summited Mount Toubkal – the highest peak in North Africa, standing at an impressive 4,167 metres.
The company, a leading importer and distributor, proudly shared the achievement on LinkedIn, celebrating not only a “personal milestone” for its CEO but also a powerful act of purpose-driven leadership.
The climb was undertaken to raise awareness and support for an educational initiative focused on building schools for children in Ethiopia.
Describing the feat as a “mission with purpose,” the company highlighted the importance of creating opportunities through education and expressed deep pride in Zammit Cutajar’s dedication to making a positive impact.
“Her determination, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making a difference inspire us all,” the post read. “Here’s to pushing limits and lifting others along the way.”
Ms Zammit Cutajar became P. Cutajar’s first female CEO in 2021, representing the fifth generation of the family to lead the company. Prior to her appointment, she served as Chief Operations Officer and, before that, as Retail and Marketing Director.
P. Cutajar is the local representative of some of the world’s leading brands across several sectors, such as Ferrero and Lavazza in the food and coffee industries.
The roots of P. Cutajar date back to 1861, when the founder, Paul Cutajar, started a trading company carrying his name based in Valletta.
His business quickly flourished and in 1865 he formalised his activities and established P. Cutajar & Co.
