Essential Turbines Inc. (ETI), a North America-based aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) specialist, has successfully completed the acquisition of AeroMaritime Mediterranean Ltd. (AML), a Malta-based Rolls-Royce authorised MRO centre.

The move marks a significant expansion for ETI into the Euro-Mediterranean region, with the Maltese operation now officially rebranded as Essential Turbines Malta.

The acquisition adds over 45 years of technical expertise, a team of 36 MRO professionals, and full AMROC (Authorised Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Centre) capabilities to ETI’s growing global network. The Malta site includes a 1,000 shp test cell and a propeller test stand.

Customers in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East are expected to benefit from enhanced service delivery and proximity, with ETI assuring that existing service levels will be maintained. The focus will now shift to optimising consistency, collaboration, and added value across all ETI locations.

Headquartered in Montreal, Essential Turbines also operates out of Vancouver and Mesa, Arizona, and is actively pursuing further strategic investments and acquisitions. The launch of its Maltese hub further positions the company as a global leader in MRO services for both helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft engines.
