Ozo Group CEO Fabio Muscat has announced a deal through its subsidiary, Ozo Services, that it has officially taken over the provision of labour at Wasteserv operated sites.

Rather than limiting its scope to providing personnel, Mr Muscat’s social media post suggests that Ozo Services will be taking over the management of existing staff, who are now officially employed by the company.

“With great pleasure we welcome all employees on board, whilst I publicly thank Wasteserv management for their kind assistance during the changeover period, making sure the transition is smooth,” the CEO wrote.

He gave special mention to his management and staff “who tirelessly worked to ensure that all is up and running.”

“I would also like to wish a big good luck to Daniel Genovese and his team who will be taking lead in operations at Wasteserv,” he wrote.

Mr Muscat concluded by saying that “with this acquisition Ozo Group proudly now employs over 3,000 employees which are considered as our extended family without whom the group wouldn’t have achieved the successes obtained throughout the years,”

Wasteserv is the national entity responsible for managing and processing collected solid, organic and recyclable waste. It’s main sites are the Sant’ Antnin Waste Treatment Plant, Marsascala; Ghallis Engineered Landfill, within the Maghtab Environmental Complex; the Thermal Treatment Facility, Marsa; and the Civic Amenity Sites in various locations.

Ozo Group was founded in 1996 by Mr Muscat's father, Mario Muscat, who today occupies the role of chairman. The group specialises in the outsourcing of perosnnel across a vast array of industries, and has also launched an 'Ozo Academy,' providing training for the various industries it services.
