Naxxar’s Vascas Jewellers & Home is set to close down after more than 30 years of operations.

However, this does not spell the end for the jewellery store, as WhosWho.mt has confirmed that it is set to reopen with a new name, and at a new location in Naxxar.

The new location is set to be where controversial café Strabuono’s Naxxar outlet was previously located, on the corner connecting Labour Road and Vjal il-21 Ta’ Settembru, just a few metres away from its previous location.

The new location is perhaps best known for a stationery that was a mainstay for those who frequented Naxxar, Yorkdale, which then also became a coffee shop. After Yorkdale closed down, it was replaced by Strabuono, which closed up shop in the village last year.

Over the years, Vascas has become one of Malta’s top retailers for “all things jewellery”. It aims to cater to the needs of a vast selection of clientele who are searching for “fine, quality jewellery pieces, complemented with an affordable price tag”. The brand is owned by the Vassallo family, and was founded by Mark Vassallo.
