Melita Ltd has opened a new store opposite the Royal Opera House in Valletta, designed to cater for both personal and business customers.

This is part of an ongoing revamp of Melita’s retail network, which has seen existing stores refurbished and new outlets opened across Malta and Gozo.

The new store is open from 9am to 6pm on weekdays, and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

“Melita continues to invest in its retail network, ensuring we have the latest technology and processes required to deliver the best possible customer experience,” Melita Director of Sales Kevin Borg said.

He added that this new outlet features “a separate meeting area for our business clients”, similar to what was done in outlets in Sliema and several other locations.

“In addition to ongoing staff training, the introduction of intelligent queuing systems and a self-installation process are just two examples of innovations that have improved our service for our personal customers,” Mr Borg concluded.

As in the case with all of the company’s outlets, this new one includes a self-service machine that allows customers who wish to settle their bills through a cash payment “to do so quickly and directly”, without having to queue for agent assistance.

Additionally, the outlet is also compliant with international health and safety (ISO 45001), environmental management (ISO 14001) and energy management standards (ISO 50001).

Since it was founded in 1992, Melita has grown to become a telecommunication services giant in Malta, and also operates “the largest data centre in Malta”.
