The COVID-19 pandemic permanently changed the landscape of how we meet, learn and sell. While many meetings now returned to being in-person, virtual meetings have provided the convenience and practicality for people to be more flexible in how they work.
Despite the demand for greater flexibility, the limited technical abilities on platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams or frustrations with technological shortcomings have hindered the widespread adoption of virtual meetings.
There are other risks in not having professional virtual meeting support; these include a lack of engagement leading to lower sales conversions, company meetings that lack professionalism due to technical issues and webinars designed for corporate education that rely on internal business resources.
MeetBee solves these challenges by providing both outsourced virtual meeting and webinar solutions as well as training packages designed for sales and client facing people having to meet virtually.
With a mission of ‘making virtual meetings better’, MeetBee is a startup that was launched in 2020. Now in its fourth year of business, the company has seen rapid growth in markets such as the United States, Canada, Australia as well as parts of Europe.
MeetBee identified that most virtual meetings aren’t set up for success. The main challenge for those presenting or leading a meeting is that it’s tough enough to communicate your message effectively. Add technical issues into the mix and it becomes quite a task to maintain being effective in your meeting.
In addition, most companies rely on internally resourced staff to help them manage their virtual meetings. This poses heightened risks, as these resources are generally either in IT or administration, with limited specialised virtual meeting skills.
With outsourced solutions, MeetBee provides a turnkey approach for companies and government including EdTech companies such as those found in the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sector.
Country Director arrives in Malta
As MeetBee evolves from being a start-up to a scale-up company, this necessitated expanding its presence in Malta.
In March 2024, Tai-lee Moody relocated to Malta to head up operations. She will support the company’s vision to develop local talent and support expansion in both Malta and beyond.
MeetBee is investing in developing its operations and logistics operations in Malta. From a people development perspective, Malta boasts a community of different cultures and languages, so it’s well suited to support the ever-growing employee base and areas where MeetBee operates.
Funding for the future with Malta Enterprise
MeetBee received a Business Development grant from Malta Enterprise in 2022. This grant assists MeetBee in its expansion through the hiring of employees based in Malta.
The grant is also beneficial for the company in a business-friendly environment such as Malta. “This support confirms the country’s priorities in investing in new industries and start-ups which show promise for sustained growth,” a spokesperson for MeetBee shared.
The outlook for 2024 and beyond
“Virtual meetings are here to stay.”
Whether companies are seeking further flexibility for their employees to work remotely, government departments looking for better managed official meetings with heightened security, or corporate education that focuses on better engagement, MeetBee is shaping the virtual meeting and webinar landscape for the better.
MeetBee is at the centre of this new industry, having developed best practices and processes to make sure that your next virtual meeting is set up for success.
From supported virtual meetings on platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Webex with end-to-end outsourced solutions, to unsupported virtual meeting training for sales and client-facing teams, MeetBee should be your choice and local partner to make sure you meet online in the best way possible.
