Matthew Caruana has been appointed Solutions Architect at the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA), making the announcement through social media on Friday.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Solutions Architect at MITA,” Mr Caruana commented.

Mr Caruana has spent his whole professional career at MITA, initially starting as a Student Software Developer, a role he stayed in for almost two years.

Afterwards, he was promoted to Associate Software Developer, and then to Software Developer, staying in the roles for around a year each, highlighting his rapid rise through the ranks at MITA.

Mr Caruana is currently sitting for a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malta with a focus on Natural Language Processing and applications of Artificial Intelligence in stock market analysis and forecasting.

He also graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Software Engineering at the University of Malta.

MITA is the public entity in charge with providing ICT infrastructure, systems and services to the Government that “leverage a modern digital ecosystem and contribute towards the definition and execution of the Government’s digital strategies that sustain a modern digital economy.”
