A major exhibition by British-Maltese portrait photographer Lorenzo Agius has transformed the public spaces of Corinthia London this February, bringing some of the most recognisable faces in global cinema into an immersive hotel setting during the 2026 BAFTA Awards season.
Titled LOOK AT ME – Framing the Iconic, the installation is already 6 days in and will be shown till 29th February 2026. It features 44 portraits from Mr Agius’s three-decade career. Known for creating the era-defining campaign for the film Trainspotting, Mr Agius has photographed a wide range of British and American actors and musicians whose images have become synonymous with modern popular culture.

The exhibition at Corinthia London
The exhibition is curated by Professor Charlene Vella from the University of Malta, and will see large-scale, glass-free prints suspended throughout the hotel’s lobbies and corridors. The curatorial concept aims to create unexpected, intimate encounters between viewers and the portraits within everyday public spaces, rather than a traditional gallery environment.
Among the British figures featured are Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Kate Winslet, Tilda Swinton, Keira Knightley, Helena Bonham Carter, Clive Owen, Bill Nighy, and the well-known image of Patsy Kensit and Liam Gallagher beneath the Union Jack. American stars include Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Richard Gere, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, and a portrait of Meryl Streep with Nicolas Cage.

Tom Cruise's well-known image is also being shown at Corinthia London
The exhibition is being presented in collaboration with the Maltese High Commission in London and Visit Malta, highlighting both Mr Agius’s Maltese heritage and Malta’s growing presence as a filming destination.
Mr Agius, who was born in London to Maltese parents, reflects a bicultural identity that aligns with the Maltese roots of Corinthia Hotels International. The exhibition previously debuted in Malta in 2025 and now arrives in London in a site-specific format adapted to the hotel environment.
According to the curatorial notes, the exhibition explores themes of fame, persona and the act of being seen, grouping British and American cultural figures together to examine how celebrity transcends borders while remaining rooted in individual human expression.
The installation will be open to hotel guests and visitors throughout February at Corinthia London, Whitehall Place.
