Go p.l.c., one of Malta’ leading telecommunications companies, has appointed a new Chairman, Samir Saied, who will be taking up the role with immediate effect.
Mr Saied was, until recently, Chairman of the BTK Group, a Tunisian affiliate of the French banking Group BPCE, after which he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Tunisie Telecom, which owns a 65 per cent stake in Go p.l.c.
The new Chairman, a graduate engineer of the École Centrale de Paris, started his career at the Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB), and possesses over “30 years of experience in commercial development and investment banks with expertise in corporate finance, risk management and venture capital,” a company statement said.
Mr Saied has also previously occupied the positions General Manager at Société Tunisienne de Banque (STB); CEO of Al Hosn Investment Company; and General Manager of the Oman Development Bank (2003-2013).
