La Prosciutteria di Sotto Pinsa Romana in Gżira has paid tribute to a member of its team, Gioia Fioravanti, who lost her life.
The restaurant shared an emotional message on social media remembering Ms Fioravanti, describing her as “one of the most radiant and merry person who ever worked with us.”
The post read: “Today we lost one of the most radiant and smiling people who ever worked with us. Whoever met you could not help but be swept away by your energy and zest for life.”
The heartfelt farewell continued: “But as usual today you were riding your motorbike. You were riding as usual. You were riding too fast. Goodbye Gioia, from all of us.”
Ms Fioravanti, originally from Rome, was remembered by friends and acquaintances online. One person commented: “It’s a shock for everyone, a tragedy! I have no words, only rest in peace.”
Her loss has clearly left a deep mark on her colleagues and the wider community, with tributes continuing to pour in.
