Kia Malta has announced the appointment of Neil Agius, former Olympian, and long-distance swimmer, as its brand ambassador. This partnership aligns Kia’s values with an individual who shares a “profound commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.”

Neil Agius, a prominent advocate for reducing plastic pollution in the seas and the environment, has gained international recognition. He achieved this recognition by swimming into the world record book, completing a non-stop swim from Linosa, Italy, to Gozo—a distance of 125.6 km, accomplished in just 52 hours.

“His dedication to raising awareness about environmental issues perfectly complements Kia’s vision of a greener and more sustainable future,” Kia explains.

Kia and Mr Agius share common values, particularly in their commitment to sustainability and the use of recycled materials. Kia has set ambitious goals to become carbon neutral by 2045, and the company is actively investing in incorporating recycled materials into its car manufacturing processes.

This alignment in values makes Mr Agius an ideal representative for Kia, as the brand strives to make a positive impact on the environment and promote responsible practices.

As a renowned figure in the world of sports and environmental activism, he embodies the spirit of resilience, determination, and commitment – qualities that resonate with Kia’s dedication to creating a more sustainable automotive industry.

This collaboration between Kia and Mr Agius sets the stage for impactful initiatives and shared efforts to address environmental challenges. The partnership signifies a powerful alliance that aims to inspire positive change and foster a deeper sense of responsibility towards the planet.

Kia Malta is inviting the public to meet with Mr Agius during the Motors Inc. open weekend being held between the 8th and 10th of March at their premises in Mdina road Qormi.

“Everyone is welcome to visit and benefit from exclusive offers & a wide selection of car models,” Kia says.
