Ketevan Karitchashvili on Monday shared that she has been appointed Account Director at The Westin Dragonara Resort Malta.

Her appointment comes after the departure of Michael Grima from the position last week, having worked at the hotel for 12 years.

“Joining the remarkable team at this luxurious resort is a dream come true, and I am eager to lead and deliver exceptional experiences to our valued guests and clients,” Ms Karitchashvili said.

In her new role, she will primarily be concerned with “creating memorable group events, conferences, and gatherings that exceed expectations and leave a lasting impression”.

She noted that The Westin Dragonara Resort is the “perfect destination” for corporate events and special occasions due to it being renowned for its “unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking views, and top-notch amenities”.

“I am honoured to be part of this prestigious establishment and to be entrusted with curating unforgettable moments for our guests,” Ms Karitchashvili added.

She also remarked that she looks forward to collaborating and creating “extraordinary group experiences” together with industry peers, associates, and friends. “Thank you for your continuous support, and I can’t wait to embark on this new adventure at The Westin Dragonara Resort Malta,” she concluded.

Prior to her new position, Ms Karitchashvili worked at InterContinental Malta for more than six years, having most recently served as Events Sales Manager, a position she held for the past six months. She was also a Front Office Agent at be.HOTEL for two years.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Studies from University of Malta and a High School Diploma in Hospitality Administration and Management from Institute of Tourism Studies.

The Westin Dragonara Resort is a five-star hotel in Malta that features 408 rooms and suites which have recently been renovated as part of a €40 million investment. The hotel first opened its doors to the public in 1997 and caters to both business travellers and families by offering a number of amenities in an “enviable beachside position”.
