James Zammit has completed the acquisition of Daniel’s Shopping Mall, marking one of the most significant commercial real estate transactions in recent months. When contacted, Mr Zammit confirmed the deal and shared his vision for the future of the property.

“We are grateful for the support of our stockbrokers and partner banks, who believed in the vision from the outset,” Mr Zammit tells WhosWho.mt. “Daniel’s will undergo a comprehensive renovation programme - reimagining the entire shopping experience and transforming the mall into a modern, dynamic retail destination.”

The extensive redevelopment plan will completely revitalise the existing space, introducing 10,000sqm of redesigned retail areas, around 30 contemporary outlets, a modern supermarket, and upgraded underground parking facilities. The refreshed mall will also welcome a mix of new high street and lifestyle brands, positioning Daniel’s as a landmark destination once again.

The strategic objective, Mr Zammit explains, is to position Daniel’s as the preferred central shopping destination, supported by a rebranding process that reflects its renewed identity.

“The goal is not just to refurbish but to transform Daniel’s,” Mr Zammit adds. “We’re creating a space that combines convenience, style, and experience. A true hub for retail and leisure at the heart of the community.”

On 4th October, the shopping complex revealed that it had refurbished its car park and it has also welcomed two new shops this month: D Outlet, which sells brands such as Guess, Versace, Paul & Shark, Harmont & Blaine, Elisabetta Franchi, and Max & Co., and Oud & Musk, a store specialising in fragrances.

The redevelopment marks a new chapter for the shopping centre, which had suffered from the collapse of the More Supermarkets chain, whose main outlet once operated within the mall.

Now, under Mr Zammit’s ownership, Daniel’s is set to move forward with a renewed focus on modern retailing, innovation, and customer experience.
