Muriel Rutland, CEO of HSBC Life Assurance Malta, is on Friday celebrating her 20th anniversary of working at the bank.

Taking to social media to mark the achievement, she said: “Feeling thankful for my incredible career development within this organisation and grateful to all colleagues and ex-colleagues that supported me through this journey.”

Ms Rutland has held a number of leadership positions at the bank.

From 2013 to 2020, she served in HSBC Malta’s Global Asset Management division, for the first four years as Managing Director, then as Director from 2017.

She served as COO of the bank’s Retail Banking & Management division for over three years, from 2017 before her appointment as CEO of the Life Assurance division came in April 2020.

Aside from HSBC Malta, she has also held a prominent position at Tigne Mall plc, where she was Director from June 2016 to April 2020.

HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Ltd is a subsidiary of HSBC Malta plc. Its principal activities are to carry on life assurance business in Malta and to provide investment services in relation to long term insurance contracts in Malta.
