Tumas Group, one of Malta’s leading business groups, has been awarded the prestigious Excellence in Product Development Award at the Mediterranean Tourism Awards 2025, organised by the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation.

The accolade recognises the group’s long-standing commitment to “innovation, sustainability, and visionary development” in Malta’s tourism and hospitality sector.

The award was presented during a private ceremony at the Presidential Palace, presided over by Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, as part of the Foundation’s flagship event – the 10th Mediterranean Tourism Forum, which this year welcomed over 1,500 delegates from across the region under the theme “Mediterranea SEA – Sustainability, Experience, and Artificial Intelligence.”

Tumas Group was celebrated for its “visionary hospitality projects that have transformed Malta’s tourism landscape,” a testament to decades of strategic investment in high-quality, future-oriented tourism infrastructure that places both people and sustainability at the forefront.

From its early developments in hospitality to iconic projects like Portomaso, Hilton Malta, and the award-winning Quad Business Towers, Tumas Group has consistently set the benchmark for integrated tourism and real estate development in Malta.

Today, it continues to champion a new era of hospitality through its latest projects, including lifestyle destinations like SABI and KORA, and through ongoing investment in sustainable design, digital transformation, and human-focused experiences.

The Mediterranean Tourism Awards were established in 2014 to spotlight leadership, creativity, and impact within the region’s tourism sector. Tumas Group joins a distinguished list of recipients from across the Mediterranean who share a commitment to responsible development and regional cooperation for a sustainable tourism future.
