Maltese company HandsOn Systems was praised on Thursday by Owen Bonnici, minister for research, innovation, and the co-ordination of the post COVID-19 strategy, who said it “provides [a] concrete model for how research-based new technologies and solutions can be commercialised”.
The minister also said the company has an impressive portfolio of international clients and this augurs well for the future.
The HandsOn Systems company is a Malta-based company which in the last 10 years has applied research and innovation to create new technologies and solutions, which in turn are commercialised with various local and foreign clients.
These innovations are then used in products and systems which improve the efficiency of private enterprise and make a difference for a better quality of life in important sectors such as healthcare, security, and the environment.
HandsOn System’s chief executive officer Geoffrey Farrugia said that the company currently employs 35 people in the field of research and has opened market and regional offices in various parts of the world including Italy, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and South America.
During his visit, Mr Bonnici was shown the research innovations most researched by this company such as tracking systems in the field of transport, healthcare services, and even private enterprise.
