Juliette Bisazza, known for her extraordinary musicianship, attention to detail and also for the personal investment she made in each of her students, passed away.

Maltese soprano Nicola Said shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook mourning the passing of Juliette Bisazza, a revered figure in Malta’s opera and classical singing scene.

In an emotional post, Ms Said described Juliette as a “pillar of strength” whose kindness, generosity and constant support touched the lives of many students.

Ms Said recalled how Juliette treated them like her own children and how her legacy lives on through their voices.

“Juliette believed in me and encouraged me to never give up,” Ms Said wrote, reflecting on the deep artistic journey they shared. She credited Juliette for guiding her through roles such as Lucia, Adina, Gilda, Mimì, and Violetta - each one now holding a special place in her heart.

Teatru Manoel also expressed their sorrow on social media. ''Juliette always distinguished herself as a professional soprano and violinist, delivering outstanding performances throughout her life, including at Teatru Manoel''.

Concluding with a line from Lucia di Lammermoor, Ms Said expressed her gratitude and sorrow, wishing Juliette eternal peace. “Few teachers make the kind of impact on their students that Juliette made,” she wrote. “May you rest in peace, beautiful Ju.”
