On Friday morning, GO plc announced it was offering “some of the best premium channels and thousands of hours of free movies and series on demand.”

As from today all schools have closed their doors for one week, leaving thousands of children at home as the Government tries to grapple with the COVID-19 outbreak sweeping Europe.

People are also encouraged to stay indoors while those flying home from Spain, Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland find themselves in mandatory self-quarantine. Malta currently has nine known cases of the virus, with no human-to-human transmission recorded as of yet.

In light of this GO is making premium channels and free movies available to its customers, in order to provide that extra entertainment.

All customers need to do is restart their TV box and channels will become available.

The move follows Melita which announced it would be offering customers kids channels, such as Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel.
