The Malta Business Registry (MBR) will host the Global Working Group on Beneficial Ownership from 25th to 27th March, 2025.

This event serves as a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the challenges and advancements in beneficial ownership (BO) transparency.

The meeting’s agenda is packed with insightful presentations and workshops, featuring expert speakers from Moneyval, the EU Commission, and various business registries.

Over the course of three intensive days, participants will examine the challenges faced by BO Registers and explore strategies for enhancing transparency, compliance, and cross-border collaboration.

A key focus will be the exchange of experiences and best practices, fostering closer cooperation among registries.

Geraldine Spiteri Lucas, CEO, Registrar, and the Chair of the Global Working Group on Beneficial Ownership, emphasised the significance of hosting this event in Malta, stating:
