Major consumer electronics chain Euronics is expected to come to Malta’s shores, WhosWho.mt understands.

Euronics is understood to be planning to open within the db Group’s project in Pembroke, which is scheduled for completion later this year.

Euronics, which describes itself as the largest retail group in the world, has over 6,500 stores across 37 countries in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.

Its stores specialise in electrical goods, selling everything from fridges, washing machines and ovens to TVs, laptops, gaming consoles, and electric scooters.

The project on the former Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) site includes the development of a shopping mall – St George’s Mall – that is being undertaken by a subsidiary of the PG Group.

It will also feature a PAVI-PAMA supermarket, alongside a mix of retail outlets, catering establishments, and dedicated parking facilities.
