Two Senior Associates at Ganado Advocates have been awarded the Legal Media Group’s Rising Stars 2021 award, the company has shared on social media.

Lorraine Poole won the Rising Stars award for Malta in the Banking and Finance categories, whereas Matthew Xerri won the award in Malta for Shipping and Aviation.

The annual report is a guide of Legal Media Group’s brightest and most talented practitioners in business law.

It aims to recognise those with a demonstrated track record in notable transactions who are considered to be future leaders in their field.

Dr Poole and Dr Xerri were the only Malta-based lawyers to appear in the ranking.

Both are well-respected and experienced lawyers in Malta, with Dr Poole having served at Ganado since 2008, and worked as a visiting lecturer and examiner at the University of Malta for 12 years.

Dr Xerri is also a veteran of Ganado Advocates, having joined the prominent firm in 2014.

Lawyers from Ganado Advocates were also ranked highly in another prestigious publication released earlier this year – The Legal 500, which ranked it a ‘top tier’ practitioner.

Individuals from the company, including Leonard Bonello and Simon Schembri were specifically identified as leaders in their fields.
