Franco Borg has resigned from his position as Chief Officer Internal Audit at MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c after more than six months in the role.
The announcement was made by MAPFRE Middlesea through a Malta Stock Exchange update on Monday, but his resignation will come into force on 13th May 2022.
MAPFRE Middlesea stated that Mr Borg resigned due to personal reasons.
“The company has commenced an intensive recruitment process in order to identify a suitable replacement within the shortest time possible as subject to regulatory approval,” the statement said.
This announcement means that MAPFRE Middlesea will be looking for their fourth Chief Officer Internal Audit in three* years.
Mr Borg is a Certified Public Accountant and Internal Auditor, while he has also served in senior positions in other private organisations and regulatory authorities.
MAPFRE Middlesea describes itself as “the leading insurance company in Malta,” operating as a member of the MAPFRE group.
