Foster Clark has announced the start-up of its major PV Generation System at the Foster Clark UB52 site.
The company announced on social media that it has invested in renewable energy “in line with its Continuous Improvement Plan,” while also “targeting to reduce [its] impact on the local and global environment”.
It is estimated that the system will reduce Foster Clark’s carbon footprint in excess of 650 tonnes of CO2 annually.
The project reportedly took a highly impressive six weeks to be completed and was managed by Electrofix Group, which specialises in Mechanical & Electrical Installations, Renewable Energy & Water Treatment Solution and Fuel Station Development & Refurbishment.
Public feedback on the appearance of the large swathe of solar panels has been largely positive, with many describing the final product as being aesthetically pleasing.
Foster Clark Products Limited has been in production since 1889, and is today supplying a cast range of powder beverages, desserts, baking aids, sauces and dressings. It is based in Malta and also serves markets in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian sub-continent.
