Management and strategic planning specialist Edward Cachia has been appointed Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Consultant at professional services firm PwC Malta, he shared on Monday.
This comes just over two weeks after he announced that his political and management consultancy firm, Machia Ltd, would close its doors at the end of September following five years of operations. While his new position represents a shift towards a different form of management consultancy, Mr Cachia remarked that he still has a “passion and an interest” in international politics.
Apart from his venture with Machia, he also worked as Research Analyst at Rizzo Farrugia & Co (Stockbrokers) Ltd and Securities Officer at Sparkasse Bank Malta plc. Mr Cachia’s experience also includes over a year as Business Development Assistant at advisory company Tuning Fork Ltd.
He also served as Local President of JCI Malta’s La Valette (Business Chapter) and as Executive Financial Officer of European Studies Organisation (ESO).
Mr Cachia holds a Master of Science in Strategic Management from University of Derby, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Western European Studies from University of Malta.
Forming part of the global PwC network of firms that has over 327,000 employees across 155 different countries, PwC Malta is the largest professional services organisation on the island, providing industry-focused assurance, tax, and advisory services. It currently employs over 660 people in Malta, serving a number of clients including public companies and institutions.
