Eden Entertainment Limited, a subsidiary of Eden Leisure Group, has reached an agreement to assume managerial control of 100.2 FM, a radio broadcasting frequency home to popular radio station XFM.

The news was announced by another of the group’s subsidiaries Eden Finance plc on Monday, which stated that a management agreement with Valentina Communications Limited was completed on 15th April.

The change in managerial control has since been approved by the Broadcasting Authority.

Eden Leisure Group anticipates that the station will be rebranded and relaunched “in the coming months”.

Over the years 100.2 FM has been subject to various rebrands. It was originally Radio One Live back in 1991, before it was renamed to Live FM, XFM, Solid Radio, and then XFM again.

Eden Leisure Group is a leading entertainment and leisure company in Malta, and has been providing hospitality and entertainment services for over five decades. It owns and operates 89.7 Bay radio, the Eden SuperBowl, Eden Cinemas, as well as hotels InterContinental Malta and Holiday Inn Express, both of which are managed by InterContinental Hotels Group.
