eCabs has partnered with Revolut to integrate its payment services into the company’s technology platform, giving taxi and ride-hailing operators an additional payment solution.
The integration follows several months of collaboration between the engineering and product teams at both companies. Revolut approached eCabs Technologies to develop the solution specifically for the taxi and ride-hailing industry.
In a LinkedIn post, eCabs CEO Matthew Bezzina said the integration offers local operators “more choice, potentially lower processing costs, faster settlements and better visibility over their transactions.”
The new integration allows operators using the eCabs Technologies platform to select Revolut as their payment service provider (PSP), alongside other providers already supported by the platform.
Taxi Fiume in Croatia is already using the integration, with further operators expected to follow.
Beyond payment processing, the collaboration has also opened discussions around potential opportunities in financial services for drivers, including banking, credit and vehicle financing.
“The opportunities go well beyond payments, and I believe we’re only scratching the surface,” Mr Bezzina added.
The partnership expands the payment options available to mobility operators using the eCabs Technologies platform and signals potential opportunities for further collaboration in financial services for the sector.
