Malta-founded Corinthia Group has secured first-place rankings for its hotels in Rome and London in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, alongside recognition for five properties in the latest Michelin Guide hotel selection.

Corinthia Rome was ranked the number one hotel in the Italian capital by UK readers of Condé Nast Traveler, achieving the ranking during its first year of operation.

Meanwhile, Corinthia London took the top position among hotels in the UK capital according to the publication’s US readers.

The Readers’ Choice Awards are determined through ratings submitted by Condé Nast Traveler readers based on their travel experiences.

The results come as Corinthia continues to expand its international luxury hospitality portfolio, including through a series of recent openings in major cities.

Separately, five Corinthia properties were recognised in the 2026 Michelin Guide hotel selection.

Four received Two Michelin Keys, while Corinthia Rome secured its first Michelin Key during its opening year.

Corinthia London retained the Two-Key distinction it first received in 2025, while Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels was upgraded from One Key to Two.

Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest also retained its Two-Key rating.

In New York, The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel was elevated from One Key to Two Keys within its first year of operation.

Michelin Keys are awarded to hotels based on criteria including architecture and interior design, service, character, value and their connection to their surroundings.

The latest results mean Corinthia properties across London, Rome, Brussels, Bucharest and New York have received recognition from either Condé Nast Traveler or Michelin during 2026.

Corinthia Group CEO Simon Naudi attributed the recognition to the company's properties and their teams.

“These awards are a testament to the standards, efforts and creativity of our Corinthia properties and teams around the world, across both the hotels we own and those we operate on behalf of third-party owners,” he said.

“We are grateful for the recognition given to us by such prestigious organisations.”

Corinthia Group, which trades as IHI plc, is an investor, developer and operator of luxury hotels and residences under the Corinthia brand.

Founded in Malta in 1962, the group has expanded its presence through established and newly launched properties in cities including London, Rome, New York, Brussels and Bucharest.

Its pipeline also includes projects under development across the Gulf, the Americas, Europe and Asia.

The group operates through its hotel and real estate activities, with Corinthia Hotels managing properties owned by the group as well as hotels held with investment partners or owned by third parties.
