The db Group’s City Centre project at St George’s Bay, Pembroke is seriously gathering pace.

The project, scheduled for completion in 2026, will feature a Hard Rock Hotel, a mall, a new PAVI-PAMA supermarket, a lido, several residences, restaurants and establishments.

Although the original plans faced legal challenges, a 2023 court ruling ultimately cleared the way for construction to continue.

And last month, the Planning Authority approved db’s proposal to add six and seven additional floors to its development, bringing the height of the two towers up to 25 and 23 storeys.

A group spokesperson had highlighted that demand for premium residential property in Malta and said the new units are “uniquely positioned to be swiftly taken up”, attributing the demand to the development’s full suite of on-site amenities.

Movement Graffitti today announced a crowdfunding drive to fund a legal challenge against the PA’s decision to approve the extra storeys.
