Chef Joseph Spiteri, “with a heavy heart,” has announced his departure from Beppe’s Restaurant in Sannat, Gozo.

Mr Spiteri, who started his journey as a chef in 1994, opened Beppe’s in 2010.

He shared that he will now be turning the page onto a new chapter, leaving the kitchen where he has put in his passion for the past 30 years.

“From the first dish served, to the countless times shared, you’ve been more than customers, you’ve been part of my family,” he wrote on Facebook in a heartfelt address to his clientele.

As he passes on the torch to “another passionate culinary artist," he expresses confidence that “the dedicated team” will continue to serve with “the same passion, excellence and warm hospitality.”

Wrapping up his statement, Mr Spiteri thanked clients for allowing him to be part of their lives, celebrations, as well as casual dine-outs

“It has been an honour to serve you and to get to know you all. I invite you to continue supporting this wonderful journey of this establishment and the new hands that will craft your meals, with much love and dedication as I did,” Chef Spiteri concluded.
