The Celine Dion concert, due to take place on the 27th July at Ta’ Qali might not go ahead, as local organisers, NNG Promotions, have said they are still waiting from the artist’s management as to whether the event will be postponed or cancelled.

Company Director, Dr Nigel Camilleri, said that the events management firm should have the information sometime next week, with an announcement going out to the press and ticket holders as soon as confirmation has been received.

Refund policy will also be determined by whether the event will be cancelled or, simply, postponed, he said.

The concert – which is expected to draw tens of thousands – is part of Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour, which has already postponed some of its stops, including a spate of dates in the United States, such as the event in LA and Denver, and Canada, including the concert in Vancouver.

In Europe, the concert dates for Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Budapest and Krakow – as well as a number in Lucca in Italy - have also been put off until an unspecified, later, date, with ticket holders urged to keep their tickets until a new schedule is announced or contact their original point of purchase for additional information and options.

In Malta, ticket holders have had to wait a long time for confirmation. In mid-April, NNG Promotions said more information would be given shortly, but there has been no updates so far.
