Valletta Cruise Port plc on Tuesday highlighted the arrival of Celebrity Apex cruise ship, that made its debut at Valletta Cruise Port last weekend.

The luxurious ship cruising in Maltese waters is an Edge-class cruise ship operated by Celebrity Cruises, a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

Celebrity Apex is the second ship in the Celebrity Cruises’ Edge series, with sister ships including Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Beyond and the Celebrity Ascent.

The cruise ship was constructed at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire France and has a guest capacity of 2,900 passengers. The construction cost amounted to €770 million.

“Offering 29 distinct restaurants, bars and lounges, Celebrity Apex offers an innovative outward-facing luxurious design that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living and breathtaking entertainment and culinary experiences,” Valletta Cruise Port explained.
