Mario Muscat, a long-serving figure at Attard & Co Food Ltd, has passed away.

Mr Muscat dedicated 60 years of service to the company, playing a sustained role in its operations and development over several decades. His tenure spanned a period of significant growth for the business, which has operated since 1976 as a key gateway for international food brands and fast-moving consumer goods entering the Maltese market.

In a statement shared on social media, director and CEO Pierre Pellegrini Petit described Mr Muscat as “a man whose name has long been synonymous with dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment.”

Reflecting on his contribution, he noted that Mr Muscat’s impact extended beyond his years of service, highlighting “the countless relationships he built, the values he upheld, and the quiet strength with which he carried out his responsibilities every single day.”

Mr Pellegrini Petit added that, as a fellow Director, he had witnessed Mr Muscat’s professionalism and loyalty firsthand, describing him as “a pillar within our organisation” whose experience and judgement supported colleagues through both challenges and successes.

Tributes from others echoed similar sentiments, with colleagues remembering Mr Muscat as “a mentor to many” and “a truly loyal individual” whose contribution helped shape the company into what it is today. Others described him as “a true gentleman” and “a humble and wise soul,” noting his role as a guide and mentor to those around him.
