On Monday (today), APS Bank announced that it has become an official sponsor of the Maltese Olympic team for Paris 2024.

The Olympic Games are set to commence on Friday 26th July, going on until Sunday 11th August.

“Participation in sports promotes physical health, fosters teamwork, and strengthens community ties, aligning with the bank’s commitment to enhancing overall well-being and social cohesion,” the bank said.

APS has supported different sport activities in the past. Earlier this year, the bank sponsored the World Karate Championship, SKSM Malta, and the Malta Chess Federation.

Additionally, APS financed a second-hand FISA-standard coastal coxed, quad rowing boat for the Siggiewi Rowing Club.

“This initiative enables a fully inclusive rowing training programme for athletes with and without disabilities, allowing them to train together safely and effectively,” APS continued.

Commenting on the announcement, APS Head of Culture Rachel Blackburn stated that the bank is honoured to support these initiatives.

“Our collaboration with different stakeholders allows us to extend our impact across multiple sports disciplines, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster a sense of pride in our talented athletes,” Ms Blackburn concluded.
