ICT veteran Alen Robovic has been appointed Systems Architect at IT solutions company Smart Technologies Limited (STL), following Robert Azzopardi’s promotion to Chief Technology Officer last month.
Mr Robovic has more than 25 years’ experience in administering systems, architecting comprehensive IT solutions and also project management. Over the years he has developed a strong background in both electrical engineering and computer science, and recently obtained his Project Management Level 6 certificate, showcasing his willingness to stay on top of the latest global developments in the world of ICT. His focus is now on providing solutions that harness the power of information technologies to provide insights, intelligence, and innovation that help clients transform and develop their business.
In his new role, he will be tasked with creating and implementing information systems and networks for STL’s clients, while also analysing desired processes and recommending the right combination of IT components to achieve specific goals.
STL CEO Joseph Aquilina welcomed Mr Robovic to the company, also expressing his confidence that he will be a “valuable addition to the team of professionals,” and that his “many qualities will be reflected in quality outcomes” for its clients.
Mr Robovic remarked that he is looking forward to working with STL and its team to “promote and advance” its IT solutions.
He also thanked his former employer, Forestals, for “the opportunity to have worked with a great team of people” and for being part of the company for eight years. During that time, he served as Solution Architect within the company’s IT hardware and support solutions subsidiary, Forestals Professional.
Mr Robovic’s experience also includes over six years as Head of Sales at Bosnia and Herzegovina-based IT services and IT consulting firm QSS.
Established in 2008, STL has since built a reputation as a “reliable and professional operator in the computer leasing business". It also assists companies and start-ups to invest in building their IT platform or interface.
