Thirty-three Bank of Valletta (BOV) employees have successfully completed professional qualifications through the Institute of Financial Services (IFS Malta), with the graduates recognised during the institute's annual graduation ceremony held at Xara Lodge in Rabat.
The employees were among almost 200 graduates recognised by IFS Malta this year, earning qualifications in areas including environmental, social and governance (ESG), financial services, Maltese financial regulations and professional banking.
The qualifications form part of the bank's wider investment in employee development, with BOV offering support for further studies through initiatives such as study grants, reimbursement of approved courses, study and dissertation leave, subsidised study loans and graduation allowances, subject to eligibility.
Commenting on the achievement, Ray Debattista, BOV's Chief People and Culture Officer, said the graduates had demonstrated commitment and resilience by balancing their studies with their professional and personal responsibilities.
BOV said continuous learning remains a key element of its employee development strategy as it seeks to equip its workforce with skills relevant to the evolving financial services sector.
