Through a commitment to quality, long-term partnerships, and technical excellence, the company remains focused on enhancing healthcare delivery and strengthening Malta’s medical infrastructure.
2025: A year of strategic milestones
2025 marked a significant milestone for TrioMed, with the successful implementation of key projects that elevate both diagnostic imaging and surgical capabilities within the local healthcare ecosystem.
Among the year’s most notable achievements was the installation of the Philips MR 5300 at St James Hospital Żejtun. This next-generation MRI platform represents a major advancement in sustainable imaging technology. Designed with sealed magnet technology, the system eliminates the need for routine helium refills, reducing environmental impact while improving long-term operational resilience.
In addition to its sustainability benefits, the MR 5300 delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging across a broad range of clinical applications. AI-enabled workflow and advanced image reconstruction technologies enhance efficiency by reducing scan times while maintaining diagnostic confidence. The system also prioritises patient comfort through optimised design and streamlined examination protocols.
TrioMed also led the deployment of the Philips Azurion 7 M20 FlexArm, forming the core of a state-of-the-art Hybrid Operating Room at Mater Dei Hospital. This advanced imaging platform supports complex and minimally invasive procedures through robotic positioning, high-resolution real-time imaging, and seamless integration within the operating theatre environment.
The Hybrid OR solution enables multidisciplinary collaboration across cardiovascular, endovascular, and complex surgical interventions. Its advanced dose-management features prioritise patient safety, while its future-ready architecture allows for software upgrades and procedural expansion without major infrastructure changes.

The people behind TrioMed’s excellence
Expanding digital health capabilities
Alongside major equipment installations, TrioMed has also significantly expanded its involvement in digital health technology projects, particularly within cardiology and radiology environments.
These projects focus on advanced medical software platforms that support clinical image storage, archiving, and workflow optimisation, enabling healthcare institutions to manage growing volumes of diagnostic imaging data while improving efficiency across departments.
By integrating imaging systems with robust software infrastructure, TrioMed is helping hospitals strengthen digital workflows across radiology and cardiovascular services, supporting clinicians with faster access to images, improved reporting pathways, and enhanced collaboration between departments.
Moving forward, TrioMed is positioning itself not only as a provider of medical equipment but also as a partner in the digital transformation of healthcare services in Malta, through other projects in its pipeline.

Investing in people and capability
Alongside its technological advancements, TrioMed has significantly strengthened its internal structure to support growing demand and increasing project complexity.
The company expanded its leadership and technical teams with the appointment of an Operations Manager and a Lead IT & DevOps Engineer, reinforcing operational oversight, digital health solutions, and long-term service reliability. Additional operations executives and field engineers have also joined the organisation, increasing capacity to manage large-scale installations while maintaining high standards of after-sales support.
Reflecting its partnership-driven approach, the company’s Sales Executives have been elevated to the role of Key Account Managers, underscoring TrioMed’s commitment to fostering strategic, collaborative relationships with healthcare providers. This evolution reinforces a consultative model focused on delivering tailored solutions aligned with clients’ long-term objectives.
The introduction of a dedicated Clinical Application Specialist further strengthens post-installation support, ensuring healthcare professionals receive ongoing clinical guidance, workflow optimisation, and training to maximise system performance and long-term value.
