Well-loved local jeweller and designer, Yana Azzopardi, has seen her first store turn seven. Yana’s Jewellery Msida is where the brand’s journey began in 2013, expanding to a second shop in 2018 located in Sliema.

“We obviously can’t celebrate from our shops so here’s a toast to these super years we had so far! Happy to still be working from home and thankful for everyone’s support,” Yana wrote on social media.

Yana has been designing jewellery for the nine years, according to the store’s website.

Jewellery-making runs in the family, with her grandfather having been a goldsmith and jewellery-shop owner, while her grandmother gave her a box of beads and thread which she used to create simple friendship bracelets.

Today, she designs and makes a wide range of elegant and handmade, statement or minimal necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.
