Joseph Fenech has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer of Projects Gozo Limited, a newly established tasked with overseeing the completion of various projects in Gozo, as well as ensuring their ongoing maintenance once they are finished.

Mr Fenech has an extensive background in public service and healthcare leadership.

He served as Executive Director of the Gozo General Hospital for six years between 2018 and 2024.

Prior to this, Mr Fenech held senior management roles within the hospital, including Chief of Nursing and Operations and Head of Nursing Services at the Gozitan hospital. In these roles, he led multidisciplinary teams and implemented operational reforms across a broad spectrum of clinical specialties.

Over the past year and a half, he has served within the Office of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry for Gozo and Planning.

Academically, Mr Fenech holds a Master of Business Administration from Global College Malta and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Health Science from the University of Malta.

Initially, Projects Gozo Limited will focus primarily on overseeing and maintaining completed projects on the island, aiming for long-term sustainability and operational excellence.
