Lord Chambray Brewery has announced the appointment of Winnie Hsu as its new General Manager and Brewmaster, bringing over 18 years of experience in the craft beer industry to the Malta-based brewery.
Ms Hsu is widely recognised within the sector, having been the first female brewer in Taiwan to obtain an international brewing licence. Her career spans brewing innovation, brand development, and international expansion, with experience across both operational and leadership roles.
Prior to joining Lord Chambray, she served as CEO and Brewmaster of Taihu Brewing, where she led a team of more than 200 employees. During her tenure, the company expanded its footprint across Taiwan and Japan, establishing multiple breweries alongside a retail and food-and-beverage presence, and positioning itself as an internationally recognised craft beer brand.
Her earlier experience includes roles at SUNMAI Brewery, where she trained in Germany and obtained her international brewmaster certification, and at Gordon Biersch Asia, where she developed her expertise as a head brewer.
Beyond her corporate roles, Ms Hsu is also the Founder and Chair of the Taiwan Brewer and Distiller Association, contributing to the development and international visibility of the craft brewing industry in the region.
Commenting on the appointment, Lord Chambray founder and CEO Samuele D’Imperio said Ms Hsu’s combination of technical expertise and leadership experience made her well suited for the company’s next phase of growth. He noted her track record in scaling operations and building internationally recognised brands, as well as her involvement in shaping the wider brewing industry.
