“I have been working in human resources for the past 23 years, the last six of which serving as Human Resources Director for Malta Public Transport, which employs more than 1,300 people.

“My experience in other sectors includes hospitality and aviation,” Roderick Bajada explains.

Malta Public Transport, which forms part of an international network of companies within the transport and mobility sector, started operation in Malta in 2015 and has since invested extensively in modernising its bus fleet, making it safer, more environmentally friendly and more comfortable.

The fleet is made up of 430 buses with the latest Euro 5 and Euro 6 diesel technology, which, the company insists, is a clear sign of its commitment to improving bus users’ experience.

Malta Public Transport says about three fourths of the Maltese population has a personalised Tallinja card and over 80 per cent of passengers use a card when travelling by bus.
