Driven by a strong desire to make a significant impact, Nicholai Grech stepped into the realm of his family business at the age of 20.

“Working closely with my brother, we pioneered the wine division of our company, transforming it into the industry leader it is today,” he explains.

Alongside his academic pursuits, Mr Grech embarked on extensive travels, immersing himself in diverse cultures to satiate his hunger for knowledge and expanding his professional network.

“In 2018, fuelled by our passion for hospitality,” he says, “we ventured into a new domain by inaugurating our flagship restaurant, Fernando. Within a mere five years, we achieved the prestigious Michelin Star, a testament to our dedication and innovation.”

Building on this success, the second venture, Onella, was unveiled in 2022.

“Looking ahead to 2024, we are gearing up to introduce an exciting new concept in Naxxar, further enriching our portfolio of offerings,” he promises.
