As Executive Director of the Burmarrad Group, Mario Gauci Jr is responsible for vehicle rentals, business development and sales. He also heads the Enterprise, Alamo and National Car Rental franchises, focusing on offering quality car rentals to inbound tourists.

“I started working with my family’s business at an early age, performing several duties in the different departments and, later, joining in my official capacity, helping the business grow and diversify together with my family,” he says.

Set up in 1984 by Mario Gauci, the Burmarrad Group is a leading provider of auto leasing, rentals, sales and aftersales services to corporate and private clients. Having started as an importer of used commercial vehicles from the UK, it has grown to become Malta’s largest supplier of new and used vans, trucks, special purpose vehicles, cars, warehouse equipment and industrial machinery. It is also the official distributor and service partner of a number of internationally renowned brands such as Carrier Transicold, Chereau and Dhollandia.

In addition, the Group runs a successful leasing arm, providing clients with a viable alternative fleet ownership. Furthermore, it has a property arm that develops and sells real estate in the Maltese islands.
