Stella Maris College lowered its flag to half mast as a mark of respect following the passing of former Headmaster Frank Micallef.

In a statement, the college described Mr Micallef as a dedicated educator and committed Lasallian who served the educational community for many years in a number of leadership and teaching roles.

Mr Micallef began his career within the Lasallian educational network as an Information Technology teacher and later headed the Information Technology Department at De La Salle College Secondary School. He subsequently served as Assistant Head at De La Salle College Primary School before taking on the role of Head of Stella Maris College Secondary School.

Remembering his contribution, Stella Maris College said that Mr Micallef was known for his dedication, commitment and sincere approach to both education and leadership.

Mr Micallef is survived by his wife, Mariosa, and his children, Theo and Kara.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 8:30am at the Mosta Basilica.

Stella Maris College said its thoughts and prayers are with Mr Micallef’s family during this difficult time.
