Part of the sixth generation of the Grima family, Ira Carbone joined the Group in 2009. Previously, she worked as Brand Executive before moving to the Travel & Distribution Department concentrating on Group trading efforts.

She eventually turned her focus to the Distribution Department and is now the Brand Manager representing the ever-growing portfolio of brands, including Swedish Match, Scandinavian Tobacco, and British American Tobacco. Recent expansions have seen the Group venture into additional African regions maintaining strong brand affiliations.

Ms Carbone holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree.

Building on roots stretching back to the British Empire period in Malta, Salvo Grima Group now operates in nine countries and employs over 150 highly trained staff.

Collaboration, research and geographic diversification are an important part of its strategy and it values the establishment of positive relationships with partners, clients and suppliers.
