As CEO, Etienne Sciberras is responsible for setting the strategic direction and execution of the company’s strategic plan. In this leadership role, together with the senior management team, he is also responsible for the management of the day-to-day business operations.

With over two decades in the industry, Mr Sciberras has had the opportunity to assume various roles of responsibility within the MAPFRE Group in Malta. In the initial years of his career, his focus was on investments portfolio management. In 2012, he moved into Risk Management where he served as Chief Risk Officer for MAPFRE Malta until his appointment to the role of CEO of MAPFRE MSV LIFE plc. He served in this position for three and a half years until December 2024, prior to taking up his current role.
