Shortly after completing his F&B Management Diploma at ITS, towards the end of 2001 Dylan Micallef moved to the UK, working at the Hilton Hotel & Casino. Starting from the Sports Bar & Nightclub, he moved up the ranks and departments within the same chain of hotels, pivoting his role from the front of the house to Accounts and Administration.

In the interim, he continued studying, achieving a Diploma in Photography and a licence in Sports Coaching.

On his return to Malta in 2008, his first job was in property letting with a well-established real estate company. Less than two years later, Mr Micallef moved into the sales side of the business for the remainder of his 10-year stay, earning the extensive experience he can boast of today.

“Never being one to stagnate in a dead-end situation for long, I yearned for more personal growth and, in 2019, the door of opportunity opened for me to join the Alliance Real Estate Group at Partner level in a recently-opened branch office in Pietà. At the time, Alliance was still operating as part of an international real estate franchise,” he recalls.

Mr Micallef’s day-to-day work mostly revolves around the basics of what a property consultant’s duties are, with a varied portfolio of clients built over the years, apart from helping the crew in the office by sharing his knowledge and experience.

“Malta is a relatively small island for one to limit or specialise on a type of property or area, which is why I strive to be an all-rounder.

“In my free time, photography is still one of my passions and I am deeply involved in sports with Swieqi United, where I form part of the business wing of the club and coach the Futsal squad,” he adds.
