With over 30 years’ experience in financial services, Express Trailers Group CEO Franco Azzopardi has had a varied career in a number of roles.

Mr Azzopardi spent 27 years working in public practice, both within the so-called ‘big four’ firms in Malta and Italy, and in a mid-tier accountancy firm which he co-founded and managed since 1990.

In 2007 Mr Azzopardi exited the firm to contribute further to the strategic direction of companies, achieving this through his website, www.francoazzopardi.com.

“I specialise in corporate strategy, governance and finance,” writes Mr Azzopardi in his company profile.

He is currently the Chairman and CEO of a local leading logistics firm called Express Trailers Group, and is a professional director in selected regulated public interest entities in banking, insurance and the payments industry.

Mr Azzopardi is also a registered fellow of the UK Institute of Directors and of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA). He previously held the position of MIA President.
